6/30/2023 0 Comments Tao lao tzuEverything has its yin and yangĪll throughout the Tao Te Ching we read about the interplay of opposites. In fact, you could spend your whole life studying it, and still, there would be more to learn – that is the magical dynamism of this spiritual philosophy!Īs such, the lessons below are by no means absolute or complete – they are simply the most obvious (in my opinion and study) and also the most beneficial for our Soul Work as humans: 1. 7 Crucial Spiritual Lessons of the Tao Te ChingĪs one of the deepest and oldest spiritual teachings out there, there is so much to learn from the Tao Te Ching. Such a paradoxical description of the Tao brings to mind the Hindu notion of Atman/Brahman, the Abrahamic religion’s notion of Soul/Spirit, the Buddhist notion of Buddha Nature or Nirvana, and the modern spiritual notion of True Nature. In the first verse of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu describes the Tao in the following way:Īs Nameless, it is the origin of all things “The Tao” (pronounced: dow) literally translates to “ The Way” and is at the heart of the Tao Te Ching and Taoism as a whole.

There are a couple of other versions which I couldn’t get easy access to and they are Color from the Dark (2008) set in Italy and a German version called simply The Color which was made in 2010. There are three movies which I will look at based on this story and they are the British made Die, Monster, Die! And then you pick up on the real story of the series. It takes a couple of books, but Yuno isn't quite right. Wouldn't it seem awesome to fight for the chance to be a God with such a pretty girl at your side? She is completly fearless when protecting him. Her Diary keeps track of his life in ten minute intervals. See that pretty girl on the cover? That's her. It has a lot of the flaws of most manga series, and without one little thing it probably would have fallen into obscurity. Some of the other characters are stupid or unrealistic-the power ranger guy for one. The plot lurches around like it's a drunken man. Reagan is the wild child, always getting in trouble while Dee is the professional with a country music contract. It's the story of Reagan(one of my favorite fans by the way) and Dee, two girls that have been best friends since they were 8 and who couldn't be any more different. Open Road Summer is a book about friendship, boys and figuring it all out. It was everything I look for in a great book and to make matters better, it was a first novel. I laughed and swooned and cried and felt those deep feels that only a truly great book can make you feel. It had all the highs and lows of a great contemporary book. But, there have been a couple that are pure perfection and I now have one more to add to that list, Open Road Summer. Even five star reads always have that something that irks me or that I dislike. |
